AUDIOVISUAL MATERIAL AS A MEANS OF FORMING AVIATION SUBJECT MATTER COMPETENCE OF AVIATION TRANSLATION STUDENTS

چکیده

The paper researches the use of audiovisual material for formation aviation subject matter competence translation students. research involved a pedagogical experiment aimed at verification hypothesis that systemic content-oriented accompanied by specifically developed complex training activities enhances students’ knowledge professionally relevant and skills in adequate terminology technical language, which visibly improves professional as future translators industry. conducted yielded positive results confirmed hypothesis. As result experimental teaching, students showed better using terminology, abbreviations concepts, higher lexicographic awareness, improved their ability to adequately electronic printed reference materials when translating texts perform translation/interpreting conformity with grammar, semantic stylistic norms radiotelephony communication standards. gave convincing evidence combined specially designed facilitates students, is basis successful performance. proved be effective teaching tools framework structure was authors. Though done course on English-Ukrainian Ukrainian-English translation, may surely relevance other language pairs well.
